OUR HISTORY
“The City of Children” is a non-profit religious foundation belonging to the San Vincenzo Foundation of the Diocese of Bergamo, Italy.
It was founded by Father Antonio Berta in 1971 in the city of Cochabamba – Tiquipaya and since then has provided protection and care to thousands of vulnerable and abandoned children and adolescents in Bolivia.
Initially, 50 boys were admitted; shortly afterward, girls were integrated, and educational units were created to provide comprehensive care.
After Father Berta's death in 2007, "The City of Children" continued working under the same model established by its founder. From 2015 onward, intervention strategies were improved, prioritizing the restoration of the rights of children and adolescents and focusing on family reintegration so they can grow and develop in a family and community environment that provides them with affection, protection, and opportunities.

OUR MISSION
The "City of Children" Foundation promotes and facilitates the full restoration of the rights of girls, boys, and adolescents in situations of risk and vulnerability, guided by the best interests of the child, prioritizing the right to live in a family, under Catholic Christian principles and values, which allow the development of an integral and independent life and have an impact on society and the State.
OUR VISION
To ensure that every girl, boy and adolescent is happy, protected by family, community and society, guaranteeing the exercise of their rights and supporting their full development.
